I always liked this image I just never posted it, so here it is
It's been a long time since I made a posting and I wanted to say that I really appreciate Mike as an instructor. It's not an easy thing trying to explain these applications to someone who has never used them before. I appreciate all the patience he has shown.
On a different note a friend told me about a country called Turkminestan (I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling) where the dictator there has outlawed the use of the internet. I guess it's a way for him to maintain control by trying to control the information people have access to. It makes me greatful that we have the freedom to use the internet and all these cool applications. Personally I think these applications are amazing. I particularly enjoy photoshop because its another medium I can use to express creativity, and hearing about countries where they can't use these technologies just makes me feel gratful that I live in a free country.

This was my first page. I wanted to show where the character had ended up in his career. I think Seattle is a good setting. I always find large metropolitan areas to be very interesting for a science fiction story. You see the photo of the old man in the corner of the page. He has lived much of his life in the city and I thought it was ironic that a man who has lived a good part of his life in a large city wants to escape to the jungle and be a wild thing. He essentially uses technology to reject it.

This is page two. I like how th text is in the middle of the tiger because you can't escape the image while reading the text. That is what I wanted because the character fantasizes about being a wild animal and there he is before your eyes while you read the story.

This is the end of the story. This is obviously where I had the most text which is why I made it take up half of the page. I was following the theme of the other pages that I created making a box and coloring to fit the scheme of the image. This tells of how the main character became a cyborg and the circumstances behind it.
I put this image as my cover page because it seemed to summarize what happens in the book quite well. I liked the look of the highway with an electronic look because that is eventually where the character ends up is in a technological nightmare. For me this image was simple but effective.
